Riphah International University is a private sector university, chartered by the Federal Government of Pakistan in 2002. The University was established with a view to produce professionals with Islamic moral and ethical values. It is sponsored by a not-for-profit trust namely Islamic International Medical College Trust (IIMCT), which was established in 1995.

The first project of the IIMCT was the Islamic International Medical College, Rawalpindi, established in 1996 by its Founding Managing Trustee (Late) Maj. Gen. (R) Muhammad Zulfiqar Ali Khan, TI (M), TBt.

Riphah College of Rehabilitation Sciences

The journey started in December 2007 from a college of rehabilitation Sciences in Islamabad under the faculty of Health and Medical Science under the dynamic leadership of Dean Prof. Dr. Asghar Khan. In June-2018 due to the exponential growth and extraordinary achievements of the institute, the Board of Governors (BOGs) of Riphah approved and established independent Faculty of Rehabilitation and Allied Health Sciences (FRAHS). Institutes under the Faculty of Rehabilitation and Allied Health Sciences (FRAHS) at the university campuses are known as Riphah College of Rehabilitation & Allied health Sciences (RCRAHS).

Goals of Riphah College of Rehabilitation Sciences (RCRAHS)

The vision of RCRS was based on the following objectives:

1. Academic Excellence – To achieve excellence in Academics in line with international standards
2. Clinical Education – To establish Evidence Based Clinical Education & Practice in Riphah Hospitals
3. Research – To promote research culture and provide platform to the students and faculty.
4. Expansion – To Grow in all regions of the country

JOURNALS

Journal of Riphah College of rehabilitation and allied health sciences (JRCRS)

Journal Riphah College of Rehabilitation Science (JRCRS) is a biannual journal peer-reviewed, open access journal published since 2013. We aim to promote the latest evidence-based practice in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and to improve the Quality based research methodology. Another aim is to promote publication ethics towards novice Researcher in the field of Rehabilitation. The journal is also striving to appraise the general community as well as the field specific community towards physical therapy and rehabilitation. In 2017 it got recognized by HEC in Z category. In 2020 it was promoted to the Y category by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for the year 2022-2023Our journal is indexed in several international agencies.

International & National Conferences on Rehab Sciences

Riphah arranges several International and National Conferences on Rehab Sciences for the development of research.  Our mission centers on fostering of outcome-based education with mastery of clinical skills and a focus on inter-disciplinary collaboration between rehabilitation professionals. We also emphasize on the improvement of quality of life for people with impairments and disabilities and through its actions, facilitate rehabilitation input to international health organizations. The Conference on Rehabilitation Sciences aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers, and scholars. These conferences become a platform to exchange and share clinical experiences and research results about all aspects of Rehabilitation Sciences, and promote discussion on the practical challenges encountered and their solutions adopted.

2014: International Conference on Rehabilitation Sciences -ICRS

International Conference on Rehabilitation Sciences (ICRS) aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers, and scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Rehabilitation Sciences, and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted. 1^st ICRS was conducted on March 8-10, 2014 at PC Hotel Lahore which was a success. The theme of conference was “Challenges in specialized autonomous practice in rehabilitation Sciences.

1st National Conference on Rehab Sciences- NCRS 2015

1st National Conference on Rehab. Sciences (NCRS) was conducted on May 8-10, 2015 at Jacaranda Family Club Islamabad.
