ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Our mission focuses in the development and promotion of result oriented education to professionals having expertise in clinical skills and inter disciplinary approaches to deliver excellence in research and learning for rehabilitation professionals. We also emphasize on the facilitation and improvement of quality of life of people with impairments and ailments and through its influence expedite the contribution of rehabilitation profession in international health organizations.

The 4th  International Conference on Rehabilitation Sciences aims to bring the eminent and leading academic scientists, researchers and scholars to exchange and share hand on experiences and research outcomes regarding all aspects of Rehabilitation Sciences along with discussion on the real- world challenges and different perspectives to resolve them.

ABOUT FRAHS

The journey started in December 2007 from a college of rehabilitation Sciences in Islamabad under the faculty of Health and medical science. In June-2018 due to the exponential growth and many extraordinary achievements of the institute the Board of Governors (BOGs) of Riphah approved and established independent faculty of Rehabilitation and allied health sciences (FRAHS) .Institutes under the Faculty of Rehabilitation and Allied Health Sciences (FRAHS) at the university campuses known as Riphah College of Rehabilitation & Allied health Sciences (RCRAHS).The faculty have great contribution for the uplifting of Rehabilitation and allied health  Sciences by enhancing the knowledge, clinical skills and research competence.  RCRAHS has significant contribution in the development of the national curriculum for DPT program under the patronage of HEC and also pioneer of initiated and started degree programme MS SLP in 2010. Another unique achievement is the establishment of Rehab Certification Board offering certification in many specialities to fulfil the need of the society. The faculty members also have significant contribution by publishing (300+ articles) their research work in impact factor journals. The clinical training facilities distinguish the institute from others in the country. The first institute to introduce the concept of Rehab house officers in the country and offer paid house job opportunity to the DPT graduates and also has a paid Postgraduate trainee program in the rehabilitation disciplines. The faculty also publish a journal biannually with the title “Journal of Riphah college of Rehabilitation Sciences (JRCRS)” recognised by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC ).

Chairperson Message

It is a great honor for me to Chair the 4th International Conference on Rehabilitation Sciences. In the Previous three international conferences, we have accomplished our objective to bring together the leading academic scientists to share their experiences, discuss practical challenges and solutions in all areas of Rehabilitation Sciences. The 1st and 2nd ICRS were conducted in Lahore (2014) and Islamabad (2017) respectively. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the 3rd ICRS was conducted virtually for the safety of the speakers and participants. But with the collaboration of renowned national and international speakers this virtual conference was turned into a successful event. The success of virtual ICRS has motivated the stakeholders to not only continue to organize the event but also expand its scope in the processes.

Maintaining the chain of these international conferences, I am pleased to announce the 4th ICRS to be conducted in 2023. The theme for this year’s conference, “Challenges in Rehabilitation Practice and Research” is an opportunity for the scholarly discourse of international and national experts to meet in the scenic setting of Islamabad, Pakistan. As is a tradition with our past conferences – I hope you will enjoy the 4th international conference to make new collaborative efforts, get new ideas, and above all, have a good time.  I wish and pray that the conference plenary session and workshops as presented by our numerous international and national researchers and clinicians, make your learnings insightful and rewarding.

Secretary Message

It’s a great pleasure to share that the Faculty of Rehabilitation & Allied Health Sciences is organizing 4th International Conference on Rehabilitation Sciences. This is the continuation of a journey started in 2014 from Lahore and now this mega event will be in Islamabad. The main purpose of this activity is to promote research culture, evidence-based practice, and networking of professionals across board. The theme of the conference also highlights the current challenges in research and practice and different experts from around the globe will provide insight into these issues and share the solutions of these challenges through the scientific literature. It is an exciting time for scientists, researchers, clinician, and academicians to contribute and share their valuable feedback. I am looking forward to seeing you in this scientific conference
