1st International Conference on Rehabilitation Sciences (ICRS) was held on March 14-16 2014 at Lahore, Pakistan. Theme of the conference was “Evidence Based Rehabilitation for All”. The Conference kicked-off with some really edifying pre-conference workshop sessions at Riphah International University, Lahore Campus. Whole day was a unique blend of different lectures presented by international speakers on key subjects of rehab-sciences. 550 rehabilitation professionals participated in this conference. Pre conference workshops were conducted by 5 international and 2 national resource persons. More than 260 professionals participated in the pre-conference workshops.5 international and 10 national keynote speakers delivered their speeches on the key issues and important aspects of the profession at the national and global level. Scientific committee received 92 research papers and 68 papers were accepted and presented in the conference, including 34 from physical therapy, 26 speech therapy, and 8 papers of orthotics and prosthetics.10 key note speakers of professional repute also participated from inside the
country. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning and Development.
