The Riphah College of rehabilitation Sciences (RCRS) was established in 2007 under the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (FHMS) of Riphah International University with the aim to produce graduates of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation professions in Pakistan according to international standards. The pioneer institute in the entry level Doctor of Physical Therapy Program (DPT) and Post professional Doctor of Physical Therapy Program (PP-DPT) in Pakistan (Equivalence M. Phil by HEC). The RCRS is also offering MS programs in 05 specialties in Rehabilitation sciences. The college has great contribution for the uplifting of Rehabilitation Sciences Professions by enhancing the knowledge, skills and research. The college has a leading role by developing uniform DPT curriculum in the country. The director of the rehab college is the convener in the National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC) and principal RCRS Islamabad is the member of National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC) of the HEC.

Dr.Asghar khan has signifcant contribution for the growth of physical therapy profession in the country. He was graduated in 1992 from JPMC(university of Karachi) with BSc PT degree.He started his career as physical therapy clinician in 1992, then moved to USA and passed the licence exam to practice physical therapy in Michigan(USA).He practiced physical therapy in the US for about 15 years and along with practice he improved his qualification to the Doctor of Physical Therapy(DPT) considered to be clinical/professional doctorate in USA.His clinical experience and certificate course in evidence based orthopedic manual therapy motivated him to choose this area of his interest.In 2007 he moved back to the country and started the 1st College of rehabilitation sciences with Riphah International University Islamabad,which is now one of the renowned institute of Rehabilitation Sciences in the country.He was the founding president of Pakistan Physical Therapy Association(PPTA) and connected it with world physical Therapy forum the WCPT. He joined the academia in 2008 as an Assistant professor and enriched his qualification further with a post graduate diploma (professional ethics and teaching methadology).In 2010 he was nominated as secretary of the National Curriculum Revision Committee(NCRC) of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan(HEC). Currently he is leading the Riphah College of Rehabilitation Sciences as Director/CEO .He has 17 publications in HEC recognized journals, conducted various workshops in different institutes of the country and supervised 34 theses of Post-professional DPT students.In 2011 based on his research contribution he was promoted as an Associate professor of physical therapy in Riphah. He is also the chief editor of Journal Riphah College of Rehabilitation Sciences(JRCS).

Dr. Syed Shakil-ur-Rehman is Associate Professor at Riphah College of Rehabilitation Sciences (RCRS) and also serves as Principal of RCRS, Islamabad Campus. At present he is pursuing his doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Lahore with focusing his research on the impact of supervised structured aerobic exercise training on insulin resistance in type-2 diabetes mellitus. He did his MS in Musculoskeletal physical therapy in 2005 from Ziauddin Medical University Karachi and successfully completed his post professional doctor of physical degree (equivalent to M.Phil by HEC) in 2011 from Riphah International University. Dr. Shakil also did his PGD in professional Ethics and Teaching methodology in 2009 at Riphah International University.Dr. Shakil is also the member of the National curriculum Revision Committee(NCRC) of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for the DPT curriculum.
He has got an extensive academic and clinical experience in the arena of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation that spans around a decade. He taught physical therapy and rehabilitation at Ziauddin Medical University Karachi, Baqi Medical University Karachi and Riphah International University Islamabad. Besides teaching, Dr. Shakil has also got an experience in conducting and supervising research studies to the senior students of the discipline. He is credited with 27 research papers published in HEC and PMDC recognized research Journals besides supervising as many as 34 MS/ M.Phil theses. His major research interest includes identifying the long term effects of exercise on the human body in different disease conditions.

Dr. Imran Amjad is Assistant Professor at Riphah College of Rehabilitation Sciences (RCRS) and also serves as Assistant Dean RARE, Islamabad Campus. At present he is pursuing his doctorate in Neuroscience at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan with focusing his research on the effect of physical rehabilitation in MCI patients. He did his PPDPT in 2012 from Riphah College of Rehabilitation Sciences, Islamabad and successfully completed his M. Phil Physiology in 2014 from Islamic International Medical College, Rawalpindi. Dr. Imran Amjad also did his PGD in professional Ethics and Teaching methodology in 2013 at Riphah International University. He completed his IBRO fellowship from Tehran, Iran. He had also passed American License exam of Physical therapy in 2016.
He has got an extensive academic and clinical experience in the arena of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation that spans around a decade. He taught physical therapy and rehabilitation at Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University, USA and in Riphah International University Islamabad. Besides teaching, Dr. Imran Amjad has also got an experience in conducting and supervising research studies to the senior students of the discipline. He is credited with 30 research papers published in National and International recognized research Journals besides supervising as many as 25 MS/ M.Phil theses. His major research interest includes exercise Physiology, Neuroscience and Bio-mechanics.
